Easy Ham and Cheese Breakfast Rolls
These are pretty much a weekend staple at my house. On weekdays we’re up before the sun and have a pretty set routine, but (thank goodness) weekends are a time to sleep in and entertain guests. We don’t usually gather for a meal until late morning or early afternoon – so these are a great little snack to fill in the gaps.
I never thought of posting this recipe, between the 10 minute prep time and canned crescent rolls – it’s just a little too easy, right? But they’re so quick, easy and yummy that I had to share!
I use emmental cheese with jambon de paris for this one, combined with the dijon it gives them a great French flavor. But you can really use any sliced meat and cheese that you like / have on hand.
Preheat the oven to the temperature indicated on the crescent roll package. Open the can and lay the rolls out flat on a sheet of parchment paper.
Put the mustard into a small dish and lightly brush a bit on top of each triangle. Lay a slice of ham (fold it a bit if needed to make it roughly fit over the dough, no need to make it exact), and then a piece of cheese over each slice of dough.
Roll up the crescents, tucking in any bits of grated cheese that try to escape. Bake according to package directions, or until they're golden brown.
